For the 2023 school year, 180 children are receiving educational scholarships that cover 100% of all expenses related to their education. 

Families in the Valle Palajunoj of Xela, Guatemala face an impossible choice due to limited economic opportunities: feed their families or send them to school. All parents want the best for their children, including a better future. Even public education in Guatemala is not free. Many schools charge for textbooks, school supplies, uniforms, and more. Faith Seeds saw an opportunity to step in to remove financial barriers so children can reach their full potential and break the cycle of poverty through education. 

Students join our program through community outreach completed by our dedicated staff who identify children who are not attending school or families who are in need. Our staff not only provides the financial support for a child to attend school, but also provides wrap-around services to aid in the students' success. Our staff visit the schools regularly and remain in contact with teachers to assess attendance, grades, and progress. This provides our staff useful information for our after-school program lessons and interventions. 

We have had 31 students graduate since starting the organization in 2011, and we couldn't be more proud!
